Arapaho-Butler boys’ basketball (6-2) rebounded from its tough loss to Merritt, by beating Burns Flat on the road 60-58 in overtime Friday and winning their first game of the Five County Conference Tournament against Hammon 58-43.

Clinton High School wrestling began its 2016-2017 season Tuesday night with a tough loss at 3A No. 4 Geary 40-27, as the Bison scored the final 15 points of the dual to win.
Head coach Shawn Finch said the team did some good things in their season debut, but they’re overexertion likely cost them the dual.

The annual football banquet concluded a brilliant, award-filled 2016 for the Reds, as Zachary Acosta and Bo Felch were awarded the Fred Friedrich Leadership Award and Chris Brooks was named the Randy Kiesau Award winner.

Services will be held today for Charles Dennis Day, 82, of Leedey, at 1:30 p.m. in the United Methodist Church in Leedey.
He died Friday, Dec. 2, 2016, in Elk City.
