The cast list was announced recently for Steel Magnolias, the final play in Southwest Playhouse’s 2015-2016 season. The production, which will be directed by Emma Brown, is scheduled to open June 3.

Construction on the new Clinton campus of Corn Bible Academy has begun. The final completion date will depend on the school’s fundraising efforts, and CBA students are doing their part to make sure that date gets here as quickly as possible.

After meeting in special session at 8 a.m. with other county officers, Custer County commissioners voted Monday during their regular weekly meeting to keep the county’s health insurance plan with the Oklahoma Public Employees Health & Welfare trust.

Funeral services for Joey Lee, 37, Clinton resident, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel.
He died Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015, in Oklahoma City.

Johnny Galvan

A mass of Christian burial for Johnny “Poncho” Galvan Sr., 68, of Butler, will be held at 10 a.m. today at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Clinton.

Jesse V. Hayes

Memorial services for Jesse V. Hayes, 82, of Zellwood, Fla., formerly from Clinton, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Kiesau-Lee Memorial Chapel.
Hayes died Aug. 12, 2015.

Bradley Lee Peek

Funeral services for Bradley Lee Peek, 43, of Cordell, have been set for Saturday, 10 a.m. at the Kiesau-Lee Chapel in Clinton.
He died Aug. 24, 2015, In Amarillo, Texas.
