According to Washington Elementary principal Gene Ray, his students have been making great progress this year in the areas of reading and math. And this Thursday, they’re looking forward to sharing what they’ve been doing with their families and other members of the Clinton community.

A Weatherford man who allegedly pointed a gun with a laser sight attached to it at another man is facing a charge of feloniously pointing a firearm.

The defendant is William Benjamin Logan, 27, who allegedly thought his live-in girlfriend was cheating on him with the victim. No shots were fired and no one was hurt.

Jesse V. Hayes

Memorial services for Jesse V. Hayes, 82, of Zellwood, Fla., formerly from Clinton, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Kiesau-Lee Memorial Chapel.
Hayes died Aug. 12, 2015.



After, by his own estimation, 41 years, one month and one week in the pulpit of the First Church of God, Roy Dobbs told his Church Council and congregation Sunday that he is retiring.
