Another historic real estate is in the process of being revived and changing the face of downtown Clinton. This time it’s the old T.H. Rogers Lumber Company on Fifth and Avant, whose new owners are turning it into a destination hot spot that will include a specialty coffee and sandwich shop, a gift shop and a yoga studio.

To encourage  student involvement in its Summer Reading Program, Clinton Public Library offered participants a chance at winning two Kindle Fires this year. The winners were announced after the program recently wrapped up, with the tablet computers being awarded to Mia Vasquez, 7, and Juan Marquez, 12.



Roy Stucker put on an impressive performance for the heavyweight championship. But, New Mexico’s Rocky Ramirez proved too much as he beat Stucker in technical knockout fashion.


After, by his own estimation, 41 years, one month and one week in the pulpit of the First Church of God, Roy Dobbs told his Church Council and congregation Sunday that he is retiring.
