Dirt underneath part of an asphalt roadway in northwest Custer County has washed out but fortunately will be repaired before the asphalt falls in beneath an unaware motorist, County Commissioner Lyle Miller said Monday.

“The problem was on County Road 910 near C.R. 2070,” said Miller. “That road carries a lot of oilfield traffic.”

Clinton and surrounding communities have been blessed by the partnership of the Regional Food Bank and other supplying entities in a program to distribute food to the hungry of Western Oklahoma three times per week.

Clinton City Council members heard Tuesday night about a lot of things that are happening on the city’s water front, but the one thing citizens would like to have heard most wasn’t mentioned. That would be the delivery of water from one of the city’s anticipated new sources.

The start of the season continues to be a struggle for the CHS softball team.
They fell to 1-5 on the year Thursday afternoon after a 6-0 loss on the road to Burns Flat-Dill City.

Clinton High School Legal Teams have kicked off their season with scrimmages against other schools, teacher coach Kathy Kelley said.
