Clinton High School has two legal teams, Gold and Maroon, both directed by instructor Kathy Kelley. The Gold team had previously won a spot in the state quarterfinals of Oklahoma Mock Trial, and last week the Maroon team also advanced into the next round.

The State of Oklahoma spent about $24 billion last year, but State Sen. Mike Schulz (R-Altus) says he and his cohorts in the legislature got to appropriate only $7 billion of it – barely over 25 percent. The rest was already earmarked for specific uses before it ever arrived.

Work is scheduled to start Monday on the Canute pipeline project, and the contractor will attack the “easiest” part first – the boring under Interstate 40.



After, by his own estimation, 41 years, one month and one week in the pulpit of the First Church of God, Roy Dobbs told his Church Council and congregation Sunday that he is retiring.
