At the school board meeting on Monday night, the first order of business was an audit presentation to the board by James Kuykendall of Britton, Kuykendall & Miller, CPAs. The board had apparently received most of the information at the end of the previous year, so there were no surprises.

Fires fanned by high winds kept firemen hopping around the area Monday, but fortunately grass was the only thing that burned in three blazes checked on by the  Daily News.

A 13-page work plan intended to become the beginning point for a program to lessen the severity of future droughts on this area’s water supply was adopted Monday night by the Foss Reservoir Master Conservancy District.
