Electrofishing analyzes Acme fish
Officials from the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation shocked fish along the shores of the large pond at Acme Brick Park Tuesday to analyze available fish there. A full report is expected in the next couple of days. Preliminary findings from the wildlife experts recommend that park workers increase the amount of structure such as cut and sunk green evergreen trees out in the pond to give young bass hiding places. They also recommend stocking the lake with blue gill perch. Park officials may also consider methods to keep geese off the pond (the birds’ feces can kill a pond’s fish). This was the scene near the south end of the railroad tunnel at the lake. In the boat are (driving) Roger Kildow and Ty Harper with the ODWC.
