Funeral services will be held for June Littke, 92, of Clinton at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the First Christian Church.
She died Sunday, July 14, 2019, at Alliance-Health Clinton hospital.
June (Morton) Burgess-Littke was born May 2, 1927, to Jim and Florence (Hudgins) Morton in rural Custer City. She was raised on the family farm between Custer City and Butler. She attended the Elam County School and Butler High School, where she graduated in 1941.
In 1944 she married Tom Burgess and the couple moved to Yuba, Calif., where she was employed as a supervisor with Del Monte Foods. While living in California she continued her education at Yuba College.
Following her husband’s death she returned to the Clinton area and was employed
at the Kellwood factory.
On June 26, 1975, she married Raymond Littke in Clinton. The following year, she retired from Kellwood.
Littke attended the First Christian Church. She volunteered her time to many projects, including Integris Clinton Regional Hospital and the Route 66 Museum. She enjoyed gardening and was well known for her home cooking.
She was preceded in death by her first husband; her parents; a son, Jimmie Earl Burgess; a brother, J.R. Morton; and a sister, Imogene Edgar.
Survivors include three sons, Mike Burgess and wife Brenda of Yukon, and Jim Littke and wife Victoria and Jerry Littke and wife Berta, all of Clinton; two brothers, Bob Morton of Claremore and Dwain Morton of Arroyo, Calif.; nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
The service will be officiated by Doyle Kinney and Mark Erskine. Burial will conclude at Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
