Funeral services for Conan Wilson, 76, of Clinton, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel.
He died Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2019, in the Grace Living Center at Clinton.
Conan Neal Wilson Sr. was born April 7, 1943, to Charlie Nichol Wilson and Irma Lee (Campbell) Wilson in Oklahoma City. He was raised in Oklahoma City and graduated from Southeast High school in 1961.
He continued his education at Oklahoma Christian College in Edmond, then Freed-Hardeman College in Henderson, Tenn., and Oklahoma State Tech. He was educated in electronics and computers.
Wilson was employed with Fred Jones Manufacturing and later retired from Medley Material Handling.
He married Harlene Smith on June 28, 1963, in Oklahoma City, then Janet Huff on Jan. 15, 1977, in Midwest City. On Oct. 19, 2007, he married Elizebeth (Wallace) Peck in Fort Smith, Ark.
Wilson was a longtime and faithful member of the Church of Christ. He loved to sing and was instrumental in organizing the third Thursday singing in the Oklahoma City area.
He was a member of the Western Plains Genealogical Group and the National Association
of Active and Retired Federal Employees.
Wilson was preceded in death by his parents; a great-granddaughter, Arianna Russell; and a sister, Barbara Burleson.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; four children, Neal Wilson and wife Lara, Tammy Rey and husband Nic, and Jeff Wilson, all of Oklahoma City, and Ruth Anne Cherba and husband Valdemar of Florida; three step-children, Tammie Waldrop of Edmond, Greg Peck and wife Keri, and Laci Thomas and husband J., all of Yukon; two sisters, Sylvia Avery and Elaine Carrington, both of Oklahoma City; and a brother, John Wilson of Tennessee.
He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The service will be officiated by Patrick Peters. Burial will conclude in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
