Funeral services for Jack Stacy Lancet, 64 year-old Thomas resident, will be held Thursday, October 27, 2022, 2:00 P.M. at Freedom Worship Center in Thomas with Jerry Yoder officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Valley Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home of Thomas.
Jack Stacy Lancet was born July 12, 1958, in Oklahoma City to Harold Eugene and Ethel Eyleen (Greene) Lancet and passed away Sunday, October 23, 2022, at his home in Thomas. Jack was raised and attended school in Thomas, graduating with the Class of 1976. He earned his bachelor’s degree in history education from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 1980. Jack married the love of his life Sue Ann Shanley on November 30, 1996, in Thomas where they made their home.
Jack spent most of his humble life farming and ranching. He will be remembered for his contagious laughter, wide smile, and ornery humor.
Jack enjoyed playing cards and watching sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys, Boston Celtics and Red Soxs, and OU football. Jack enjoyed life, singing silly songs and dancing with his grandchildren, ribbing his best friend Sandy Baldwin, and spending time with friends and family.
As his favorite niece Jill says, “People gave him energy.”
And, many people have said, Jack “got away with a lot other people wouldn’t.”
Jack is survived by his wife of 25 years Sue Ann Lancet of their home in Thomas; a daughter Lindsey Fowble and husband Landon of Thomas; his “lovedlike- a-son” Darrin Fite and wife Tristian of Thomas; a sister, Janelle Love, and husband Tim, of Yukon; three grandchildren, Vance, Audra, and Scarlett Fowble; nephew Jason Love, and his wife Laurie of Yukon, their children Abby, Jake, and Kylie Love; niece Jill Carroll, and her husband James, of Tuttle, and their children Rocky and Alex Carrol, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
In honor of Jack’s love of giving, memorials may be made to the Thomas FFA or to Western Oklahoma Christian School in Clinton.
