Private memorial services for Howard McCornack, 69, Clinton resident, will be held by family members under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Howard Alan McCornack was born February 27, 1953, to Harold and Evelyn (Kupka) McCornack in Clinton, OK and passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2023, in his Clinton home with family after his battle with lung cancer.
Howard was raised in Clinton, OK where he graduated from Clinton High School in 1971. He attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, OK. He married Brenda Campbell on September 14, 1974, in Weatherford, OK. The young couple made their home in Clinton, OK.
He worked for the Lorenz John Deere Implement Co., Collins and Aikman Manufacturing, as well as being selfemployed. He retired from the City of Clinton in 2018. He was a member of the Catholic Faith. Hobbies included riding motorcycles & stock car racing. He was a professional fisherman participating in tournaments for seven years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Marian Parsons and grandson Dennis McCornack II.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda of the home; daughter, Mindy Irene Crayton, Clinton, OK; son, Dennis McCornack of California; two sisters, Sandra Hough and husband, Terry, Clinton, OK and sister, Linda Martin, Texarkana, TX.
He is also survived by five grandchildren: Chelse Hill and husband, Rhett; Melody McCornack & Matthew McCornack; Cole Crayton & Gunner Crayton; and three great grandchildren, all of Clinton, OK.
