Mary Anne was born on August 12, 1934, in Custer County, Oklahoma to Floyd Clyde and Annie Ida Newman. She attended Gyp Hill Elementary by their farmhouse with Luther Newman being her bus driver.
Glenn and Mary Anne were married on September 7, 1952.
She worked for the telephone company when they first married. When Glenn joined the Air Force in April of 1953 she worked at the commissary. She went on to work at Clinton Sherman Air Force Base, the Soil Conservation, the Draft Board, the Founder of Champlin Oil, and lastly at Vance Air Force Base. After retirement in June of 1986, she spent time with her family. Mary Anne took care of her parents and spent time with her brother and sister. She loved fishing, craft shows, shopping, family tree history, puzzles, and playing card games with her family.
She had an energetic, kind personality and loved being mischievous at every opportunity to do so.
She loved her family and would do anything to make sure they knew it.
Mary is survived by daughters; Sharilyn Zabinsky & husband Joe, and Shelia Malone & husband Mike; grandchildren; Nick Creps, Nolan Creps, Sean Malone, Cassandra Malone, and Doug Zabinsky; great-grandchildren; Richard Hartzell, Madison Creps, and Faith Creps.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Glenn W. Agan; her parents, Floyd and Annie Newman; her siblings, John N. Newman, Vesta Albright & husband Roy, and Donald Newman & wife Verda Mae.
In lieu of flowers the family asks you to consider making a memorial donation to the American Lung Association.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Matthews Funeral Home with family present from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
Funeral services will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 28, 2023 at Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond, OK. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Woodward, OK.
