Funeral service for Kyle Lynn Shepherd, 64, will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday August 12, 2023, in the Clinton Free Will Baptist Church, officiated by Charlie Murphy and Danial Mosburg. A burial will follow at the Antioch Cemetery (near Butler) under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
Kyle Lynn Shepherd of Arapaho, OK entered the kingdom of heaven on August 9, 2023, while surrounded by her family and friends. She was born in Clinton, OK on March 22, 1959, to Kyle and Gerry Watson. Kyle Lynn graduated from Arapaho High School in 1977 and that summer married Lyle Shepherd (July 30, 1977) her loving husband of 46 years. Together that had two sons Jeremy and Jarred Shepherd.
Kyle Lynn worked as a beautician in Arapaho and Clinton for many years. Her later career was in the accounting department at the Oklahoma Veteran Center in Clinton, OK. As a devoted christian, she was a member of the Antioch Free Will Baptist Church until its closing and then joined the Clinton Free Will Baptist Church.
Kyle Lynn loved going SHOPPING with her sister, daughter in-law and many friends. She loved lounging in a swimming pool or lake. Kyle loved spending time with her grandchildren and cooking large meals for her family.
Kyle Lynn is survived by her husband Lyle of Arapaho, sons Jeremy and wife Tori of Butler, Jarred and wife Chelsea of Verden, grandchildren Amy Jo, Rylan, Dacy Rae, Tatum, Everett, Olivia, and Ellis, parents Eddie and Gerry Watkins, mother in-law Betty Shepherd, sister Kathrine Kriezenbeck and husband Kevin, stepbrother Kent Watkins, multiple brother and sister in-laws, as well numerous niece and nephews.
She is proceeded in death by her grandparents, her father Kyle Watson, father in-law Derman Shepherd, stepbrother Eddie Brent Watkins, and stepsister Becky Ford.
The family has requested that in leu of flowers, please make contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the American Diabetes Association.
