Funeral services for Donna Jean (Hale) Dickson, age 88, of Clinton will be at 10 a.m. Monday, November 4, 2019, at the First United Methodist Church, with Rick Robart officiating and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Burial will follow at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Bloom, Kan.
Donna was born in Bloom, Kansas, on February 9, 1931, to Glen and Dorothy (Evans) Hale and passed away October 29, 2019, in the Clinton Hospital.
Donna was raised in Bloom, Kansas, and graduated from high school there in 1949. She married Leroy Dickson on August 21, 1949, also in Bloom. Together they moved to Carnegie, Okla., in 1958. After a short stint they moved back to Kansas and in 1965 moved permanently back to Clinton.
Donna was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Clinton. She retired as a bookkeeper from Oklahoma Bank and Trust Company in 1995.
Donna loved crafts and traveling. She and her husband Leroy went to Colorado for 18 summers to manage a “gift shop” after they retired.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Lloyd Hale.
She is survived by her husband Leroy of the home; her daughter, Latricia Lodes and her husband Brent of Yukon; her son, Don Dickson and his wife Patricia of Stillwater; her grandchildren, Jordan Dickson of Stillwater, Shawna Ayala and her husband Debray, Jeromy Dolphin and his wife Zee, Dylan Lodes and his wife Andrea, all of Oklahoma City, and Adawn Ehmen and her husband Chris of Canton, Ga.; and her great-grandchildren, Braydon, Addison, Sydney, Audrey and Sarah.
