Colby Aaron Archer, 39, of Clinton, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, September 16, 2022.
Colby was born on June 1, 1983, to Junior Archer and Sheldon (Kummell) Archer in Clinton, Oklahoma.
His early years were spent growing up in North Carolina and during middle school he moved to Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School in 2001.
Colby enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 2002. He received the rank of Corporal and served 4 years with the 3rd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, Twentynine Palms, California. Serving two tours in Operation Enduring Freedom & Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was a proud member of the Wolfpack.
In his younger years he loved to surf and be on the beach. He loved starting colts and riding horses, spent 100 hours of horseback, roping and being outside. He loved the outdoors, whether it was camping, fishing, or working cattle. Colby was very proud of his younger siblings.
He will be dearly missed by everyone who loved and knew him.
Colby is survived by his father Junior Archer and wife, Traci, of Clinton, Oklahoma, mother Sheldon Collins and husband Richard of North Carolina, brother Jake Archer and wife, Darienne of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, sisters Amelia & Molly Collins of North Carolina, grandparents Kenneth & Joyce Archer of Clinton, Oklahoma, grandmother Betty Plunkett, uncles Mike Archer and wife Jackie of Lawton, Oklahoma, James Archer and wife Kristen of Amarillo, Texas, Matt Oglesby and wife Vicki of Tomball, Texas, Todd Oglesby of Eakly, Oklahoma and Randal Boyer of Harrah, Oklahoma and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by Greatgrandparents Irving and Linda Schmidt, Paul and Dortha Martin, Gary Archer & Leroy & Mabel Kummell, grandparents Rea Gene and Donna Oglesby & Bob Kummell and Aunt Toni Boyer.
