After a four-way tie for first, Ronald Saucier was seleced as this week’s winner in the football picks contest.

Saucier, Floyd Neely, Tom Murray and Helen Vowell each had five correct picks.

All the names were printed on a slip of paper and the winner was drawn out of a hat.

Lady Reds struggle with Elk City

CLINTON – The Clinton Lady Reds suffered their fifth conecutive loss after dropping a 10-5 district game versus Elk City Monday.

The top of Clinton’s lineup produced six hits in the losing effort.

Baleigh Giblet, Addyson Littke and Kenzie Kauk produced two hits apiece.

AMBER – Class 3A No. 8 Corn Bible Academy volleyball lost its match with No. 13 Amber-Pocassett 3-1 (14-25, 20-25, 25-20, 20-25) Monday evening.

Sophomore Ellie Bittle led the team with 10 kills.

Reds start district slate Friday

After a week off, Clinton football (1-1) returns to the gird-iron Friday when they hit the road for its first district showwith Newcastle.

DRUMMOND – Arapaho-Butler’s Brett Griffith went yard in the top of the first inning, guiding the Indians to a 5-4 victory Saturday afternoon.

DURANT – Southwestern Oklahoma State University fell to 0-3 on the season with a 37-28 loss to Southeastern Saturday.
