Lee leaves legendary legacy behind

After 34 years as a member of the Clinton High School athletic department across different capacities, Mike Lee has announced his full retirement following the end of the 2023-24 school year.

According to Monday’s agenda for the Clinton Public Schools Board of Education meeting, long time Clinton High School coach Mike Lee has submitted his letter of resignation as coach for both of the golf programs to be effective at the end of this school year, as he looks to head into retirement full time.

Ochoa awarded Rubio Memorial Award

At the end of every year, the Clinton High School soccer teams hand out awards at their banquet. This year, the biggest winner was senior Pao Ochoa, who was named the recipient of the Lindsey Rubio Memorial Award.

The Clinton Sooners

Tuesday evening’s City Council meeting also focused on the Riverside Golf Course management, along with discussions on the Clinton Police Department’s (CPD) gun surplus and the Oklahoma Municipal Assurance Group (OMAG) trustee election.
