The tragic story of a young mother and her infant daughter who died a few weeks apart in 1912 as a result of the same tornado – called by news media of the time as a “cyclone” – was one of the sad highlights of Monday afternoon’s Sunset Tour of the Clinton Cemetery.

Clinton residents wanting to rid their homes and properties of trash, yard waste and other unwanted debris may do so for free at the town’s annual city-wide cleanup event to be held on Friday and Saturday. Hazardous waste materials will not be accepted.
