Private services will be held for Susan Donley Hays, 65, longtime Clinton resident, arranged by Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.

She died Saturday, June 1, 2019, in Norman

Hays was born March 5, 1954, to John and Norma (Hatchell-Pratt) Donley in Clinton. She was raised in Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School in 1972. She was also in the first graduating class for LPNs at Western Technology Center in Burns Flat.

She married her husband, Dr. Gary Lynn Hays of Clinton, on Aug. 3, 1973.

Susan worked as a nurse at the Hays Family Clinic of Clinton. She was a volunteer with Meals On Wheels, Junior Service League, United Way, Special Olympics, and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Clinton.

She enjoyed cooking, gardening and fishing, and more than anything she loved her family.

Hays was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Karen Donley.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Scott Hays and Ryan Hays and fiancé Courtney, all of Edmond; a daughter, Katie Hays and husband Aaron of Norman; two sisters, Lynda Donley and husband Michael Brinkley of Norman and Kathy Strickler and husband Jim of Littleton, Colo.; and two nephews, Cody and Kyle Kuester of Colorado.
