Funeral Services for Bobbie James, 86, Custer County resident will be held 10:00 A.M., Monday, November 2, 2020 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, officiated by Pastor Daniel Mosburg. A private burial will be held at a date later under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.

Bobbie Ruth James was born November 6, 1933 to Ernest and Mabel (Muno) Upchurch in Clinton, OK and passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2020 in the Clinton Alliance Health.

Bobbie was raised in Clinton and attended Clinton Schools. She married Airman William “Bill” Albert James on March 24, 1950 in Clinton. They made their home in Albuquerque, NM before moving back to Custer County, OK and then they made their homes in Clinton, Custer City and Arapaho.

She was employed at the OK Turkey Plant several years ago; she enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, working in her yard, quilting, and any kind of crafts and had a passion for animals. She presently had a four legged baby named Harley.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son, Billy James and daughter, Neva Jarvis; sisters, Dortha Wooeall, Lometa Ayers and Ernestine Morrison; brothers, John Calvin “JC” Upchurch, Ray Upchurch, Dwight Upchurch and Dale Upchurch.

She is survived by a daughter, Rita Steffes and husband, Gary, son, Jimmy James and wife, Sally, all of Clinton; daughter in law, Judy James, Foss; Sister-in law Joann Upchurch Clinton, Ok, sisters, Ellen Munkres, Dumas, TX and June Burton, Clinton.

She is also survived by grandchildren, Regina Wise and husband, Dale, Gary Lynn Steffes and Jenny, Lakisha Palmer and Steven, Matthew James, Kyla Garabay and husband, Kenny, Latonya Sneed and husband, Travis, Grady Jarvis, Jason Jarvis, Shawn McKeaigg and wife, Kelly, Matthew Thomas and wife, Amanda, Courtney Milligan and husband, Derrek, Lawerance Southerland and wife Allison, Jennifer Shaw and husband Jason, Mackenzie Stevenson and Justin Martin and Julia Jaffa and husband Craig.
