Randy William Clonce, age 66, of Glendive, Montana, formerly of Clinton, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at his home in Glendive.
Randy was born on June 11, 1955, to Ronald and Mary (Renner) Clonce in Denton, Texas. He was raised and educated in Clinton, Oklahoma, until the age of 17 when he moved to Wyoming, North Dakota, Michigan, and Montana working for the oilfields with his dad, Ronald.
He moved to Traverse City, Michigan, where he met Roxanne Wardle. They soon married and continued to move with his company (Montana and Oklahoma). In Clinton, they had a child, Billy.
Four years later they moved to Glendive and would have four more children, Valerie, Sara, Wesley, and Andrew. That’s when Glendive became his home and he went to work for Shell Oil.
He continued his employment until the 90’s when he changed employment and fulfilled his dream to be a truck driver, traveling across the country.
Randy made his home in Clinton for about 12 years where he retired. In October of 2019 he came to Glendive to visit his family and ended up staying.
Randy enjoyed coaching his boys in Little League Baseball.
In his later life he has enjoyed watching his grandchildren play baseball and soccer. Papa Randy also enjoyed short trips out of town to watch the grandchildren play football. He also liked family dinner gatherings.
Randy is preceded in death by Jerolyn Clonce, a son Andrew Clonce, brother-in-law Darrell Clonce, grandmother Gertrude Clonce, his father Ronald W. Clonce, and son-in-law Rusty Limesand.
Survivors include his mother Mary B. Clonce, sister Linda Hall (Johnny Jennings), 2 brothers Jerry Clonce and Roger (Vickie) Clonce, Roxanne Clonce, their children – Billy Clonce, Valerie (Nate) Stanhope, Sara (Waco) Engle, Wes (Bobbie) Clonce, 10 wonderful grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers: memorials in Randy’s name are suggested to Grandview Retirement Home. No services will be held in Glendive, MT. Memorial Services will be held in Clinton, Oklahoma. Date and time are pending.
