Funeral services for Linda K. Ray, 75, of Custer City will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Custer City First Christian Church.
She died Saturday, July 20, 2019, in the Grace Living Center in Clinton.
Linda Kay (Wright) Ray was born March 25, 1944, to G.W. and Regina (Baker) Wright in Clinton. She was raised in Butler and graduated from high school in 1962. She continued her education at Southwestern State College in Weatherford and received a bachelor’s degree in education.
She married William Ray June 4, 1966 in Butler.
Ray taught in Putnam Schools until its closing. She was then employed with the 3-M Company in Weatherford, where she retired.
She was a member of the Custer City First Christian Church. She enjoyed doing handwork, crocheting, sewing and working on crossword puzzles.
Ray was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, of the Custer City home; a daughter, Deborah Allen and husband Kelly of Sentinel; and son, William “Billy” Owen Ray Jr. and wife Lisa of Clinton; two sisters, Connie Boelen and husband Gary of Cyril, and her twin sister, Lana Isaak and husband A.J. of Arapaho.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Robert Richter Jr., Jessica Allen, Addison Ray, Ashlyn Ray, Chandon Ray, and twins Chase and Cale Ray; and one great-grandchild, Bryleigh Gonzales.
The family has suggested those wanting to give a memorial contribution may do so to Oklahoma Medical Research for Alzheimer’s.
The service will be officiated by Doyle Kinney and Gary Beard. Burial will follow in the Butler Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
