In Loving Memory of Julia “Micki” Rhoads It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Julia “Micki” Rhoads, age 33, of El Reno, Oklahoma, who left this world on October 13, 2024. Born in Denver, Colorado on June 6, 1991, to Arlen Rhoads and Carlotta Samuels, Micki was a cherished daughter, devoted mother, and beloved friend to many.
Micki was raised in El Reno, where she graduated from El Reno High School in 2009 and remained an integral part of the community throughout her life. Known for her nurturing spirit, she dedicated herself to caring for her family and friends, always bringing warmth and joy to those around her.
A passionate individual, Micki enjoyed playing pool, painting, and dancing at powwows. Her greatest joy, however, came from spending time with her children— Daryn St. Cyr, John McClung Jr., Uriah McClung, and Aurelia McClung—who were the light of her life.
Micki is preceded in death by her father, Arlen Rhoads, best friend Kayla Yates, and other beloved family members. She is survived by her mother, Carlotta Samuels of El Reno; her siblings, Tamra Samuels and Brady Rhoads; and numerous relatives and friends who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.
A service honoring Micki will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, October 21, 2024, at the ERC building in Concho, officiated by Waylan Upchego, and Eugene Blackbear. A traditional all-night wake will take place at the same location on Sunday, October 20, starting at 7:00 PM. Micki will be laid to rest in the Clinton Indian Cemetery, next to her father.
Her pallbearers include Brady Rhoads, Isacc Rhoads, Daryn St. Cyr, Tony Franklin, Mary Bravo, and Arian Franklin. Honorary pallbearers are T.J. Smith, Oscar Birdshead Jr., John McClung Jr., Nic Hamilton, and Uriah McClung.
Micki’s vibrant spirit and loving nature will be profoundly missed, but her legacy of kindness will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Services are under the direction of Lee Hometown Funeral Home.
