Funeral Services for Jaunita Jencks, 88, Clinton resident will be held 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, November 20, 2019, in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, officiated by Doyle Kinney. Burial will follow in the Dempsey Cemetery in Cheyenne, Okla.
Agnes Jaunita (Isch) Jencks was born December 13, 1930, to Henry Clyde Isch and Beulah Louise (Daugherty) Isch in Reydon, Okla., and passed away Thursday, November 14, 2019, in the Grace Living Center in Clinton, Okla.
Jaunita was raised in Dempsey, Okla., where she attended school. She married William Lyle Jencks June 26, 1948 in Cheyenne, Okla. They made their first home in Cheyenne where they farmed until moving to Clinton, Okla., in 1956. She began a working career with the Old Oklahoma General Hospital in 1958 and later attended a lab technology school and started in the lab in 1967. She transferred to the new Clinton Regional Hospital in 1973 and filled numerous positions including, nurse’s aide, ward clerk, lab technology, civil defense and first aid, taking courses in each. She retired and turned in her hospitals keys in 2006.
She was a member of the Church of Christ and was a member of the Senior Citizens AARP, where she served as president twice and was a quilt leader. She was a member of the Quilters Guild.
She is preceded in death by her husband in 1986; her parents; and a grandson, Jeremy Robinson.
She is survived by two daughters, Peggy Hutchison and husband, Ron, Cherokee Village, Ark., and Nancy Robinson, Clinton; a brother, Ernest Isch and wife, Rose, Bethany, Okla.
She is also survived by three grandchildren, Sandra Huff and husband, Jon, and Stephen Robinson, both of Garland, Texas, and Jason Robinson, and wife, Chrystal, Clinton; and three great-grandchildren, Anthony, Destiny and Justin.
