Bobbie Lee Gosier, 69, of Clinton, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, December 7, 2024. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, December 16, 2024, in the Hyman Chapel at Lee Hometown Funeral Home, with Rev. Larry Cato officiating. Burial will take place at Clinton Cemetery at a later date.
Bobbie was born on July 8, 1955, in Valdosta, Georgia, to Henry and Lena Gosier. In the mid-1970s, after completing Job Corps, Bobbie relocated to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he met and married the love of his life, Nancy Gosier.
In 1982, Bobbie and Nancy settled in Clinton, Oklahoma, where they built their life together. Bobbie worked primarily in construction, owning and operating his own concrete business for a time. Over the years, he also worked at Bar-S Foods in Clinton, BOP Oilfield Company in Weatherford, and most recently, as a cook at Lucille’s restaurant in Clinton.
A member of Bethany Baptist Church in Clinton, Bobbie was known for his kind and giving nature. He lovingly cared for his wife, Nancy, and his brother, Chester, until their passing. An avid gardener, Bobbie shared the fruits of his labor with family and friends, embodying his generous spirit and love for community.
Bobbie is survived by his children, Tracy Northington and her life partner Ronnie, and Tony Harper and his wife Lisa; his sisters, Edna Silva and Aline Hatton; his brothers, Henry Jr. Gosier and Lester Gosier; sisters-in-law, Shirley Burris and Valeria Lewis; seven grandchildren; seven greatgrandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Nancy Gosier; his parents, Henry and Lena Gosier; his brothers, Nathan Gosier, Chester Gosier, Paul Gosier, and Horce Gosier; and his sisters, Helen Gosier and Pauline Gosier.
Bobbie will be remembered as a hardworking, compassionate man who deeply loved his family and friends. His legacy of kindness and generosity will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
