Funeral services for Nadine Matz-Foster, 92, Clinton resident, will be held 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, March 18, 2020 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, officiated by Pastor Roy Dobbs. Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
Nadine Faye (Southerland) Matz Foster was born June 13, 1927 to Charlie and Bertha Southerland in Clinton, Oklahoma and passed away Saturday, March 14, 2020 in the Grace Living Center in Clinton.
Nadine lived her entire life in the Clinton area and she graduated from Clinton High School in 1945. She was married to Louis Matz on January 7, 1947. The couple farmed south of Clinton until his death in December of 1957. She later married Charley Foster on July 15, 1963.
She was a longtime bookkeeper and secretary for Graves Manufacturing Company until her retirement. In her younger years she was an avid bird watcher and fisherman, along with her good friend, Wynona Cabaniss.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husbands, Louis Matz and Charley Foster. She is survived by one sister, Charlene Peck and husband Albert, Clinton; son, Perry Matz and wife, Debbie, Clinton; two grandchildren, Kasi Westfahl and husband Erick, Yukon, and Derek Matz and wife, Kyla, Arapaho; and five greatgrandchildren, Collin and Adelyn Westfahl, Kendall, Kellan and Kimber Matz.
The family has requested those wanting to give a memorial contribution may do so to the New Generation Sunday School Class at the First Christian Church.
Due to the Coronavirus, the CDC has requested that attendance is kept down to 50 people or less.
