Frances Irene Bryan was born October 24, 1932 to John Givens Lovell and Zola Mae Masters at Cloud Chief, Oklahoma and passed away on April 11, 2020 at The Clinton Therapy & Living Center at the age of 87. She grew up in Cloud Chief where she attended all 12 years of school. She was an athletic young lady that loved basketball and played during her school years. She married Walter Thomas Bryan (W.T.) at Cordell, OK on June 24, 1950.
Frances and W.T. had four Children – RuVae, Kevin, Denise and Kelly
While raising their children, they lived in Oklahoma, Texas, Florida and Georgia and, at one time, owned and operated Bryan Furniture Store in Burns Flat. They moved to Georgia in 1973 and moved back to Oklahoma in 1992. When her husband retired from the Insurance business in 2005 they moved from Burns Flat to Clinton. Before and after his death in 2013, Frances worked at Southwest Interiors in Clinton. She later retired and moved to a retirement center in Cordell before moving to an apartment, also in Cordell, where she resided prior to her stroke and short stay in the Clinton Therapy & Living Center. She enjoyed attending Bible class and worship service at The Church of Christ in Clinton of which she was a long time member and will be missed.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, and brothers Earl & Bob.
She is survived by daughters, RuVae Roberts of North Carolina & Denise Goff of Alabama and son, Kelly Bryan (& Dana) of Texas; sister, Sharon of Texas; grandchildren, Derrick Roberts, Devin Roberts, Kelly Wilson, Doug Wilson, Kevin Bryan and Thomas Bryan, and 11 great grandchildren.
She is also survived by the Calvert families of Clinton, who considered her a family member, and a host of friends whose lives she touched through the years.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
