Funeral services will be held for Stacy Thomas, 55, of Clinton at 2 p.m. today in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel.
He died Thursday, May 23, 2019, at his rural Clinton residence.
Stacy Earl Thomas was born June 29, 1964, to Virgil and Laverne (Snider) Thomas in Clinton. He was raised in Clinton and attended Clinton Schools, graduating in 1982. He enlisted in the U.S. Army National Guard in 1981 and served for six years.
Thomas had worked for Curley’s Pipe Inspection, Buzzy’s Quick Shop, Dave’s Stop & Shop, and for Lucky Star Casino with the drop team. Most recently he had been the caregiver for his parents.
He was a member of Chapel Hill Methodist Church, and he enjoyed collecting coins and traveling.
Thomas was preceded in death by a brother, Mark; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Survivors include his parents; a sister, Sharon Duvall and husband Brett of Clinton; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The service will be officiated by Doyle Kinney and Bobby Stewart. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
