Oklahomans across the state are making their voices heard about the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association’s (OSSAA) decision to cancel the Class 2A-6A state basketball tournaments and spring athletics, posting a petition named, “Second chance for seniors,” on Change.org.

Monday afternoon State Superintendent Joy Hofmeister announced the tough news that many involved in high school sports were waiting to hear. Hofmeister proposed that schools stay closed for the remainder of the year due to the rapidly spreading COVID-19 (Coronavirus), which would also end all remaining athletics.
