Late Thursday morning the Clinton City Council officially hired Robert B. Johnston to become the city’s next city manager. Johnston will be coming to Clinton after serving as the city manager of Frederick since 1993. He also previously worked almost eight years as the public works director here in Clinton throughout the 1980s.
