When Debra Mendez retired from the State of Oklahoma after working as a vision rehabilitation specialist, she found a part-time job that was close to her heart to become director of volunteers at the Clinton Regional Hospital gift shop.

The Moreno family of Clinton will host a community Our Lady of Guadalupe celebration lunch at noon Dec. 12 at McLain Rodgers Park, located on Jaycee Lane.

Ready to greet

At the close of the final day Wednesday in the filing period for school board seats across Custer County, the only candidates have remained: for Clinton, incumbent John C. Coleman; and for Arapaho-Butler, incumbent Adam S. Richardson.

The water tower at S. 18th Street and Broadway Avenue is about to go back in service after repair work has been completed.

According to Clinton’s Public Works Director Gene McCullough, work on the water tower at S. 18th Street and Broadway Avenue is nearly complete.

While Cornerstone Church was expecting anywhere from 150 to 200 people to show up for its annual Thanksgiving feast Thursday, an estimated 234 people attended the event featuring food and fellowship.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) held a meeting recently to review the reconstruction plan for exits 65 and 65A on Interstate 40 now that the plan has reached 90% completion.
