Clinton City Manager Mark Skiles announced Friday the City’s plans to discontinue using water from Clinton Lake until the taste and odor issues can be solved.

Inframark, the operators of the plant, had thought they had the issue resolved and it was simply a matter of time until all of the waters in the City’s three storage tanks and in the miles of water lines was replaced. Last week, the problem reemerged so the City will phase out using Clinton Lake water and replace it with water treated at the new R.O. plant on the west edge of Clinton and from Foss Reservoir until a permanent solution can be implemented.
