The public is invited to see details of proposed plans to reconstruct I-40 and Gary Boulevard Exit 65 traffic interchange in Clinton Thursday at the Frisco Center.
The meeting will get underway at 6 p.m.
There will be a short opening presentation, said ODOT Division 5 Engineer Brent Almquist, after which the meeting will be turned over to the engineers. “They will go through the design challenges they had to meet. After that, breakout sessions are planned where people can meet in small groups with ODOT and the design engineers and go over the project in more detail,” Alquist said.
The goal of the Exit 65 project is to improve safety and traffic operations and improve mobility in the I-40 corridor. Part of the $38-million project will consist of two new roundabouts and longer acceleration and deceleration lanes on I-40 on-and-off ramps at Gary Boulevard.
