The Head Start program in Clinton is closing its doors due to funding challenges and declining enrollment, coinciding with the retirement of Sylvia Valverde, a 30-year veteran of the program.
Washington Elementary School is organizing a “Resource Round-Up” event focused on improving student attendance. The event is scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday at the school located at 601 N. 13th St. Sessions will run from 7 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. and 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. on both days.
