Due to the tremendous response of applications received on the last two days of the application period that ended Dec. 6, the meeting of the Southwestern Oklahoma State University Presidential Search Screening Committee will be delayed until January.

Southwestern Oklahoma State University with locations in Weatherford, Sayre and Yukon has received a philanthropic investment from Oklahoma City-based Delaware Resources Group and the Busey Family Phil G. and Cathy Busey, Brian Busey (SWOSU Class of 2005) and Philip and Heather Busey (both SWOSU Class of 2004).

Individuals who have attended high school but left without a high school diploma because of a previous law that required all Oklahoma high school students to pass four of five end of instruction tests now have a way to get that degree.

Filling up the stocking

The Righteous Riders held a toy drive Dec 5. In addition to this, people were welcome to donate food and money. Pictured are, Linda Pruitt, left, holing a stocking and Donna Newsome putting cash inside to help fill it up.

This morning the Clinton Middle School announced that the Christmas Concert, which was scheduled for Sunday afternoon, was canceled due to both choirs teachers being quarantined.
