John Acosta and his son Sil Acosta spent some time together this past week as they volunteered at the second round of the USDA Farmers to Families free food box handout that took place in the Clinton High School parking lot.

Members of the Clinton School Board voted this week to delay the start date of the 2020-21 school year by one week, pushing it to Thursday, Aug. 20. Supt. Tyler Bridges requested the delay because of the late delivery of the district’s new LMS (learning management system) software.

An out-of-state subject allegedly provided a false identity to police, via another person’s license, and carried a felony assault warrant out of Arizona, when Clinton Police officers took him into custody Friday evening.
