The General Tommy Franks Leadership Institute and Museum is opening a special exhibit called “Lines with Power and Purpose: Editorial Cartoons,” featuring 51 original editorial cartoons from the nation’s great metropolitan newspapers during the Golden Age of print journalism. Included in the exhibit are six works from Pulitzer Prizewinning cartoonists as well as a station for visitors to create their own editorial cartoon. The exhibit will be showcased at the Museum now through Oct. 6.

OU Medicine, OU Health Sciences Center and Oklahoma Blood Institute are collaborating on a project to determine the prevalence of Oklahoma healthcare workers who have previously been infected with the COVID-19 virus. In addition, the antibodies of those who test positive for previous infection will be analyzed for their ability to protect against future COVID-19 infection.

Clinton High School senior Litzy Silos was one of 20 Oklahoma photography students selected to attend the 2020 Oklahoma Summer Arts Institute (OSAI), where she was able to study with internationally renowned faculty and celebrity guest artists.

Two separate singlevehicle accidents involving injuries were investigated this weekend in Washita County by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Nearly 600 parents have shared their opinions on how the return to school should be handled this fall, in response to an online survey put out last week by Clinton Public Schools. Superintendent Tyler Bridges is pleased about the number of parents who have responded, and hopes to hear from many more as well.
