The Town of Arapaho has requested that flowers and decorations which have been placed in the Arapaho Cemetery be removed by Friday, June 5.

The OSSAA’s opening phase for high school athletics to return is scheduled to go from June 1 to June 26. This start allows in-person workouts again with coaches. Once the annual “dead week” ends, the second phase begins July 6 and ends the 15th.

Water tower given character

Paint crews added a Red Tornado logo on the north side of the water tower on the west side of town over the weekend. A new coat of paint was added and “Clinton” was painted on the south side of the tower in addition to Clinton’s Rt. 66 Museum logos visible from from both directions of I-40.

On Monday the state entered Phase 3 of Gov. Kevin Stitt’s plan to reopen the economy, and in it he ordered long-term care facilities to remain closed to visitors for now. But even if he’d given them the go-ahead to open up, nursing home directors in Clinton say they would still remain closed to visitors — for now.
