Area prepares for cold front

Oklahoma’s Presidential Preferential Primary election will be held on March 3, where voters in each party will choose the Presidential candidate they want to be on the ticket in November.

The last day to register for the Presidential Preferential Primary (PPP) is Feb. 7.

The Oklahoma Corporation Commission (OCC) has approved a plan to address the projected exhaust in the supply of telephone numbers for the geographic area currently served by the 405 area code.

Called an “overlay,” the plan will add an additional area code to the 405 area.

Author Nicholas Sparks will speak at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, at the Pioneer Cellular Event Center on the Southwestern Oklahoma State University campus in Weatherford. The public is invited, said organizers.
