Legal teams from 40 high schools around the state will spend the day in Clinton on Monday, Oct. 7, for the Mock Trial Fall Conference which kicks off mock trial season. This will be the first time Clinton High School has hosted the annual conference, said CHS Legal Team Coach Ashley Kelley.

In observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Clinton Daily News would like to hear from people in the community who would like to share stories about how their lives have been affected by the disease.

One individual was found beaten and cut with a knife when Weatherford police responded Thursday to a report of a fight in progress.

The incident occurred in the 1300 block of Meadow Lane.

Custer County commissioners gave their assent this week to the purchase of a “compact excavation digger” – a machine similar to a backhoe – for Soil Conservation District No. 88 headquartered in Clinton.
