Charles Henson, son of John and Nina Henson was born in Gilbert, Louisiana, on March 22, 1945. He passed away peacefully at his home in Medicine Lodge, Kansas on September 26, 2024, at the age of 79, surrounded by his beloved wife and family.

Throughout his early years, Charles lived in various states, including Louisiana, Kansas, and Texas.

His first job was at a meat market in Beaumont, Texas.

On September 27, 1980, Charles married Judy Harger in Alva, Oklahoma, blending their families into one of nine. A true jack of all trades, Charles was a dedicated provider who excelled in construction, the oil field, and car maintenance.

His work took him to various towns across Oklahoma and Kansas, but his greatest joy came from family gatherings, cooking, fishing, and ‘taking the scenic route’ in search of old cars.

Charles never met a stranger; everyone he encountered quickly became part of his family. With a heart as big as his smile, he was always willing to lend a helping hand. Whether through words of encouragement or by literally giving the shirt off his back, his generosity knew no bounds. Charles’s warmth and kindness touched the lives of many, and he will be remembered for his selflessness and unwavering devotion to others. He was the cornerstone of his family, a steady presence who offered guidance, love, and support to all who knew him.
