Funeral services for Curtis S. Rose, 69, Foss resident, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, June 1, 2020, in the First Baptist Church in Foss, OK, officiated by Rev. Charles Wyatt. Burial will conclude in the Butler Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
Curtis Sanford Rose was born May 29, 1950, to Audie Ray Rose and La Vonia Pauline (Baker) Rose in Clinton, OK, and passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2020, in the AllianceHealth Clinton emergency room in Clinton, OK.
Curtis was raised and attended school in Butler, graduating in 1968. He continued his education at Southwestern State College in Weatherford, OK. He married Glenna Barr on August 2, 1969, at Indianapolis near Custer City, OK. They moved to Kansas in 1970, where he was employed with John Deere Implements and he served as Deputy Sheriff. They moved back to Oklahoma, settling in Foss where he worked for Alltel Phone Company for 30 years before retiring.
He has been a long time member of the Foss Baptist Church, the National Rifle Association and the Western Okie Ramblers, and traveled extensively.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Glenna, of the home; a brother, G.C. Rose and wife, Val, of Eufaula, OK; a brother-in-law, Jerry Barr; nephews Richard Rose, Mark Rose and Kelly Barr; and a niece, Kim Grisham.
