The funeral services for Denton Lee Rhodes, 14-year-old Clinton resident, will be held Saturday, April 9, 2022, 2:00 P.M. at the Clinton Middle School Auditorium with Kent McAbee and Kevin Poulson officiating. Burial will be held Sunday, April 10, 2022, 3:30 P.M. in Parkland Cemetery, Parkland, Oklahoma, under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home of Weatherford. Visitation will be Thursday and Friday from 8:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M.
Denton was born December 5, 2007, in Montrose, CO to Bradley Jacob Rhodes and Rachel Ann Rhodes (Frazier) at only 4 pounds and 1 ounce. He passed away suddenly Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Cordell Memorial Hospital.
Denton spent his first year in Montrose, Colorado and when he was one year old, the family moved to Weatherford and later Clinton. He began school in Clinton and was an 8th grader at Clinton Middle School. Denton was a special and amazing child and was loved by so many. He lived most of his life with his dad and his family. Denton will be remembered as being generous, sharing, loved people and loved with all of his heart. He was a great and loyal friend. He kept us all on our toes, he had a spunky attitude, and was ornery but was fun loving. Denton loved working on cars and hoped to be a mechanic someday.
Denton is survived by his father, Bradley Rhodes of Clinton; his mother, Rachel Frazier of Weatherford; paternal grandmother, Nancy M. Rhodes of Custer City; uncles, Loyal Rhodes, Jr. and Victor Rhodes; aunts, Nanese and Lorenzo Loza, LaKrisha Rhodes, Cordial Rhodes, Clauice Isom and fiancé, Clayton Lowry, Laura and Taylor West, and Jackie Rhodes and fiancé, Jake Page; first cousins, Myranda, Meagan, Morgan, Mary, McKayla, Athena, Ares, Aubrey, Kyler, Dezirae, Mallory, Serenity and Maxton. Also survived by his maternal grandpa and memaw, Nick and Dawn Meneley; and two half-brothers, Paxton and Keeton Frazier.
Denton was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Loyal Rhodes, Sr; paternal great-grandmother, Lily Cron; uncle, David Rhodes; and maternal greatgrandpa, Wendel Meneley. Denton was loved by many family and friends.
