Donald Elmer Harrison of McCook, Neb., and formerly of Clinton, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2020. He was 87 years old.
Don was born July 21, 1932, on the family farm near Stratton, Neb., to parents, Elmer Ellsworth and Cleo Frances (Tatum) Harrison. He attended school at Ash Grove.
On July 23, 1954, he was united in marriage to Fredora Faye Wilson at McCook, Neb. To this union four children were born. The couple farmed north of Stratton for 28 years before their travels would take them to Missouri, Oklahoma, and eventually back to Nebraska.
Farming, carpentry, and real estate occupied Don’s time until his retirement. In his free time, you could find him woodworking or enjoying antique tractors, especially Massey Fergusons.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Elmer and Cleo Harrison; baby sister, Bonnie Jean Harrison; and sisters-in-law, Rose, Joan and Violet Harrison.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Fredora Harrison of McCook; children, Mike (Marla) Harrison of Goodland, KN, Sharlyn “Shari” (Dennis) Youngs of McCook, Don (Carey) Harrison of Stratton and Teresa (Mike) Brown of Stratton; eight grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; brothers, Warren Harrison of Stratton, Wayne (Katie) Harrison of Sierra Vista, AZ and Will Harrison of White House, TN; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral service were held Thursday, January 16, 2020, 1:00 p.m. at Herrmann Jones Funeral Chapel, McCook, with Pastor Clark Bates officiating. Burial followed at Ash Grove Cemetery, rural Stratton.
