Edna Gale Pitts, 81, of Corn, Oklahoma passed away on January 12th, 2021 at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born on January 8th, 1940 to Wesley “Bud” and Clara (Evans) Halford in Mangum, Oklahoma.

Edna graduated from Brinkman High School in 1957. After high school Edna received her Master’s Degree in Education from Southwestern State College.

She taught high school English and Coached Basketball at Lovington, NM; Olustee, OK and Washita Heights. She taught a total of 28 years.

Edna met and married Bill Pitts on December 23, 1961 and to this union was born two sons, Brett and Brent. She enjoyed playing golf, and she loved going to Thunder Basketball games. Edna will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, especially her family.

Memorial Service: 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Brinkman Cemetery, in Brinkman, Oklahoma, under the direction of Ray and Martha’s Funeral Home in Cordell.
