In Loving Memory of Floyd Lee Jones A funeral service for Floyd Lee Jones, age 66, of Clinton, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, September 16, 2024, in the Hyman Memorial Chapel, located in the Lee Hometown Funeral Home. Pastors Wilma and Leonard Jackson will officiate, with arrangements under the direction of the Lee Hometown Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Clinton Cemetery.
Floyd was born on May 9, 1958, in Clinton to Joseph Barron and Willie Mae Randle (Smith). He passed away peacefully at his home on September 8, 2024.
Raised in Clinton and Burns Flat, Floyd was a proud graduate of Clinton High School, where he was a Red Tornado. He was a devoted member of The EDGE Church in Clinton and was well-known for his years of service at the local Pizza Hut. Floyd had a deep passion for OU Football and the Dallas Cowboys, and he cherished spending time with his friends, whom he affectionately referred to as his “Partnas.”
Floyd was a devoted uncle and brother, and he raised his nephew Dashawn Wooden as his own. He is preceded in death by his mother, Willie Mae Randle; stepfather, Nolan Randle; grandparents, Henry and Viola Smith; father, Joseph Barron; brothers, David Smith, Nathan Randle, and Nolan Randle Jr.; sister, Victoria Lewis; niece, Kristal Jones; and nephew, Dashawn Wooden.
Floyd leaves behind a loving family to cherish his memory, including his siblings Ralph Jones, Kevin Randle, Eunice Thompson, Julius Barron, Gerald Barron, and Velda Keel. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews Ralph Jones Jr., Chad Jones, David Jones, Julius Thompson, Stacey Jones, Amelia Harris, and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews, including Viola Wooden, Jayden Jones, Maliki Jones, Jay’ana Jones, Kimiesion Fields, Enamerac Jones, Darrias Hendricks, Victoria Hendricks, Thyri Green, and Travis Jones.
Floyd’s warm spirit and kind heart will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
