Goldie Rosena (Sperle) Phelps was born on August 25, 1921, in Bessie, Oklahoma, to Christian and Louisa (Stehr) Sperle. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 27, 2023, in Enid, Oklahoma, at the age of 102 years old. A family visitation will be held at Anderson-Burris funeral home on Friday, December 8, 2023, from 5:00 -6:00 p.m. Goldie married Eldon Phelps, of Enid, Oklahoma, in 1946.

They raised two children. Goldie was preceded in death by Eldon, her parents, and two siblings.

Goldie was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker.

Goldie loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and was actively involved in church work throughout her life.

She was an excellent seamstress, and enjoyed all forms of needlework. She was employed by Montgomery Ward, in Enid, as a shipping and receiving clerk, from 1963 to 1967. In their retirement years, they enjoyed camping, and traveled extensively.

Goldie is survived by her children, Sharon (Phelps) Pendleton, and David Phelps, her grandchildren, Amy (Pendleton) and Dustin Scott, Ben and Lori Yarborough, Betsy Brown, and four great grandchildren, Hudson, Nathan, Ella and Anna.
