A private family memorial service will be held for Jacqueline E. Marshall, 73, at the family home in Arapaho. Arrangements for cremation are being handled by Lee Hometown Funeral Home. Jacqueline, born June 21, 1951, on the Seminole Indian Reservation in Florida, passed away peacefully at her Arapaho residence on the morning of September 12, 2024. Raised amidst the vibrant culture of the reservation, Jacqueline later graduated from Clearwater High School. In 1986, she married James Marshall in Florida, though she fondly recounted their initial meeting in Connecticut.
A beloved family matriarch, Jacqueline shunned the limelight, preferring the quiet comfort of her own space. She was known for her love of knitting, her passion for drag racing, and her enthusiasm for animal documentaries. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and watching her grandchildren grow.
Jacqueline is preceded in death by her mother, Gloria Ravado, who passed away in 2020. She is survived by her devoted husband, James Marshall; her sons, Jim Marshall of Kentucky and Kevin Marshall of Kansas; her daughters, Janice Willitts and Crystal Marshall (husband Devin Summerall) of Arapaho, Tina DeLeon of Indiana; her sister, Shannon Barber of Florida; and eight cherished grandchildren.
Jacqueline’s quiet strength and loving presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
