A Chapel Service for Janice Harris, 72, Clinton businesswoman, will be held 10:00 AM, Tuesday, June 18, 2024, in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, officiated by Doyle Kinney and Jase Hargrove. A private burial will be held in the Clinton Cemetery at an earlier time under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM, Monday, June 17, 2024, in the Kiesau Lee Funeral Home.

Janice (Mahanay) Harris was born November 23, 1951, to FW and Lynette (Hastings) Mahanay in Clinton, and passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2024, in her Clinton home surrounded by her family.

Janice was raised in Clinton, where she attended and graduated from Clinton High School in 1970. She attended the Oklahoma State Universi-ty, in Stillwater, for a semes-ter and later transferred to Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, where she achieved an associated degree in Business.

She was married to Dusty Rhodes on September 2, 1972, in Clinton, and to this marriage a son, Derek was born.

She later married Jim Harris on September 12, 1986, in Clinton, and to this marriage she gained a bonus son, Matt Harris.

She was employed at Ron Grubb Associates before joining the family business at Cannon Auto Supply. She became owner operator until her death.

Her hobby was her work, but occasionally liked to golf and travel. She was a lover of animals and an advocate for Friends For Life Animal Rescue. Those wanting to give a memorial contribution may do so to Friends For Life, PO Box 1965, Weatherford, OK 76096.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Jim, of the home, two sons, Derek Rhodes, Elk City, and Matt Harris, Clinton, brother, Jim Mahanay, Clinton.

She is also survived by two grandchildren, Lillian Rhodes and Zachary Rhodes and nephew, Ryan Mahanay, Mobile, AL.
